One lovely morning, Sunday the 16th of October. It was County Final Day-Portlaoise vs Stradbally, the little town vs the big town (C’mon Stradbally). Flags everywhere, lots of excitement. Kick off is at 2.30-I will be playing at half time! What a feeling! It starts, Strad get the ball, Begley lays it off to Jodie, then to Tom Shiels, Tom sticks it in the net! What a finish! Later, 20 minutes until full time. C’mon Strad, lovely football. They are leading still. Full time! Yes, Stradbally have stopped the 10 in a row. That night we got lots of sweets to celebrate and had a sleepover! Up the little town!
